From Dr. Markidan:

Welcome! I am grateful that you have chosen, or are considering, us as a partner in your health.

As a small, private practice, we take the time to get to know each of our patients.  We strive to understand those who are in our care beyond the medical symptoms, with the empathy to appreciate the distinctive struggles, insecurities, needs, and goals that are unique to each individual.

Women choose our practice because they're looking for more than a "one size fits all" approach. What is appropriate for one woman, may not at all be for another.  But, every woman deserves exceptional care, and that is our goal, every single day.

With deepest appreciation,
Y. Markidan

About Markidan Gynecology and Women's Health

Markidan Gynecology and Women's Health is a boutique, Princeton, New Jersey based, private practice founded by Dr. Yana Markidan. Our goal is to provide exceptional care based on the individual needs of each patient.  While most of our patients are from Central New Jersey and Bucks County, Pennsylvania, we regularly treat patients from across the United States and other countries.

At our practice, we treat women of all ages, from teens to post-menopausal.  We evaluate and treat symptoms of menopause and peri-menopause. We consult on vaginal and vulvar issues, infection (vaginitis), sexually transmuted diseases (STDs) and pain complaints. We manage both routine and abnormal pap smears, and, if necessary, will guide you through further surveillance and treatment. We consult on menstrual disorders, and offer both medical and surgical management of these conditions.

We provide individualized contraceptive counseling to assist in family planning and reproductive health, including placement of long-acting reversible contraception (IUDs and Nexplanon), and permanent contraception (tubal ligation).

We provide culturally competent and judgement free care for patients with sexual health concerns, including: decreased sexual desire, decreased sexual arousal (sensation and lubrication), difficulty or inability to achieve orgasm, and pain during intercourse (vaginismus and dyspareunia).  Likewise, we provide care and support for the distinctive health care needs of our patients who are lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or are questioning their sexual identity (LGBTQ), as well as those with alternative sexual practices.
